Island Ferries is a family run business, providing the #1 boat trips in Howth. Mark, the owner, is a Master Mariner and Chief Engineer Officer, the only person in Ireland holding Dual Qualification. Mark has been touring Howth for nearly all his life, handling boats to the island at 9 years of age. In 2023, our company celebrated 20 years in business. From our best selling Ireland’s Eye Tour, we have grown to providing 3 cruises, including our original Howth Cliff Cruise and our renowned Sunset Cruise.

We are the only ferry company landing on Ireland’s Eye, giving you the opportunity to get off and explore the beautiful flora and fauna of the island. Our expert skippers have extensive knowledge of Ireland’s Eye, Howth Cliffs and everything in between, which is shared in the commentary on our tours.

Island Ferries provide a fun and safe environment for all the family. All our vessels are surveyed by the Department of Transport annually, and are fully licensed and insured. Our fully qualified crew undergo regular training in conjunction with STCW (Standards of Training Certification and Watchkeeping).
