Passengers arrive at the pontoon on West Pier in Howth and meet the crew. A short safety announcement is provided upon boarding the boat.
As the boat departs and heads towards the Cliffs, we take in beautiful views and tranquil sounds of Dublin Bay Biosphere. Commentary commences en route back towards Howth Harbour, giving passengers time to enjoy the views and capture photography, with a chance to learn the history en route back.
The boat departs from the pontoon and passes Howth Lighthouse, providing an excellent photo opportunity. The commentary will explain the lighthouse’s significance and its role in safeguarding vessels along the coastline.
The boat then heads towards Ireland’s Eye, an uninhabited island located off the coast of Howth. The commentary will provide interesting facts and history about the island.
The boat continues along the rugged coastline, allowing passengers to appreciate the stunning views of Balscadden Bay, with its picturesque sandy beach and beautiful rock formations.
Heading further along the Howth Peninsula, passengers will marvel at the stunning coastal cliffs that tower above the boat. The commentary will discuss the geological significance of the cliffs and point out any notable wildlife, such as nesting seabirds.
The boat reaches Baily Lighthouse, a historic landmark dating back to the 19th century. Passengers will learn about its fascinating history and significance in guiding ships navigating the treacherous waters of Dublin Bay.
